What happens during a BBL photofacial?
You will relax while we apply the BBL applicator to your skin, slowly working our way around your face, neck, or chest with stimulating light energy.
What happens during a Forever Young BBL photofacial?
This specially designed treatment uses the same BBL applicator but on a distinct “Forever Young” setting, which gently stimulates skin. The Forever Young process involves administering BBL light several times over your skin so you experience multiple BBL passes in one treatment. Forever Young also incorporates SkinTyte™ II, a non-invasive energy treatment which helps to tighten lax skin and reduce wrinkles.
What does a BBL photofacial feel like?
BBL is a form of intense pulsed light (IPL), which is aptly named. During treatment, your skin will feel like it is being treated with intense bursts of light, which may feel like a rubber band snapping against your skin. This sensation lasts only as long as the light hits your skin—about a second at a time. After your treatment is completed, your skin may feel like you’ve had a mild sunburn, but that will subside after an hour or two.
Are there side effects with a BBL photofacial?
Your skin will renew itself according to your particular treatment. For example, if you are targeting brown spots, the BBL treatment will first darken your spots, which will gradually turn to a coffee ground-like texture before sloughing off within a week after treatment. If you are targeting redness or veins, you may look flushed for a few hours before noticing almost immediate improvement and more evenly-toned skin.
Is there downtime with BBL Photofacials?
Generally speaking, there is little to no downtime with BBL photofacials. You should be able to reapply makeup immediately following your treatment, if so desired, and resume your regular schedule.
